Patricia Barr Injured in Car Accident in Georgetown, TX
Georgetown, TX — February 4, 2026, Patricia Barr was injured as the result of a car accident that took place around 2:38 p.m. along Williams Drive.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the crash happened off the corner of Williams Drive and Del Webb Boulevard.
According to officials, 82-year-old Patricia Barr was in an Infiniti going northwest. A Chevy Silverado going the same direction reportedly failed to control speed, crashing with the Infiniti and a Mazda.
Due to the accident, Patricia Barr was seriously injured. No other injuries were reported. Additional details about the accident are unavailable.

A lot of people think car accidents like this are open-and-shut. Authorities blame someone for the crash, so what more could there be to discuss? Well, let's consider two things.
For one, people need evidence to tell their side of the story. Insurance companies have professionals dedicated to avoiding responsibility. Police blaming someone is obviously an important detail, but it's just one piece of the puzzle. Having as much information as possible supporting the story helps ensure there's no room for blame-shifting.
Two, the cause of someone's injuries can be unique. Here, for instance, only one person had any reported injuries. Was that a reasonable outcome for this crash, or could it be that a safety feature (a seatbelt or airbag, for example) failed to work properly? Authorities don't often inspect vehicles for defects, and this can lead to serious oversights. If the victim would have walked away had they been in a different vehicle, that's a problem worth addressing.
