Pedestrian Injured in Car Accident on U.S. 385 in Odessa, TX
Odessa, TX — April 24, 2023, one person sustained injuries in an accident between a car and a pedestrian just before 5:00 a.m. along U.S. 385.
Right now, details about the accident remain limited. Authorities said in their initial statements that the collision occurred at approximately 4:54 a.m. in the area of northbound U.S. Highway 385 and 61st Street.

According to police officials, a pedestrian, who has not yet been identified publicly, was in the area of the northbound lanes of the highway. For reasons still under investigation, a Ford pickup going northbound crashed into the pedestrian.
This caused injuries for which emergency responders transported the pedestrian to an area hospital. Latest information says that the victim is in stable condition. It's unclear if they've since been released from the hospital. Currently, authorities do not list any possible charges or citations. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
