Pedestrian Injured in Alleged DWI Accident on Walden Road in Jefferson County, TX
Jefferson County, TX — July 5, 2023, a pedestrian was injured following an alleged DWI accident just after midnight along Walden Road.
Preliminary details released by authorities indicate that the collision took place near the Walden Road and Smith Road intersection at approximately 12:25 a.m.

In their statements, officials said that a 22-year-old man was on foot nearby two parked vehicles, a Chevy Tahoe and a Chevy Silverado. While there, an eastbound Chrysler somehow went across oncoming lanes, hit the Tahoe, then hit the man standing nearby.
As a result of the collision, the 22-year-old man had injuries described as incapacitating. There were no other reported injuries. Police allege that the driver of the Chrysler had been drinking and recommended DWI charges. No further information can be reported at this time.
