Texarkana, TX — March 30, 2025, a pedestrian was seriously injured due to an alleged hit-and-run accident that happened around 6:00 p.m. off W. 25th Street.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened in the parking lot of a church off the corner of W. 25th Street and Walnut Street.

Investigators said that a pedestrian was in the parking lot of a church at the time. In a series of events unclear, a vehicle struck the pedestrian. That driver then left the scene. Reports say that the pedestrian crawled to the nearby Highland Park Elementary where they were found the following day.
The driver has reportedly been identified and arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. The pedestrian remains in serious condition. At this time, no further information is available.

If authorities have the right person here, and if the allegations are true, then it’s at least a positive step forward someone will answer for what happened here. As I talk about often when it comes to hit-and-run accidents, though, it’s important investigators continue to investigate the events leading up to the accident. A lot of the time, a driver leaving an accident scene is only part of the story. There’s often a reason other than the accident itself that led them to flee, and that, too, may warrant consequences.
