Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Pedestrian accidents can sometimes create unique challenges for people due to the fact they're often written off as simple. People may think right-of-way is the only important factor to look into. That's not really true though. There also should be investigations into things like lighting, signage, road design, alcohol, distraction, visibility issues, medical conditions, etc. If authorities are too hasty in their efforts, these possible factors can easily slip through the cracks. Were authorities here more thorough, or did they, too, leave some important details on the cutting room floor?
