Pedestrian Killed in Truck Accident on Merrill St. in Salinas, CA
Salinas, CA — April 5, 2024, one person was killed following a pedestrian versus car accident at approximately 4:00 p.m. along Merrill Street.
According to authorities, the accident took place in the loading dock area of a business on the corner of Merrill Street and Nutting Street.
The causal factors that led to the accident remain unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a male pedestrian was run over by an 18-wheeler as it was pulling out of the loading dock. The pedestrian incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the accident and was declared deceased at the scene. No other injuries have been reported.
