Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
A big factor here will no doubt be whatever caused the van to make contact with the truck. Was the van changing lanes? Was the driver not paying attention? Was there something in the roadway? Did a tire blow out? Was there another reckless driver involved who left the scene? Likely or not, it’s important all possible factors get attention from investigators. There’s no doubt a family out there who deserves answers. The sooner investigators work to get those answers, the more evidence there will be still intact. If authorities haven’t already started looking at that evidence, it may be that getting the full story will require more thorough independent investigations.
