Hearing that one of the vehicles here may have been a rideshare vehicle, did authorities check that vehicle for cameras? A lot of rideshare drivers have dash cams these days—sometimes even cameras inside the vehicle. That could be vital for piecing together what happened here, but video evidence is often time-sensitive. It needs to be secured before the evidence is deleted, overwritten, or otherwise lost somehow. Taking the steps early on can make all the difference for a family who loses a loved one in a serious crash.
