Ranier De La Cruz Banzuela Jr., 2 Injured in Car Accident in Robinson, TX
McLennan County, TX — September 4, 2023, Ranier Banzuela Jr. and two others had injuries resulting from a car accident that happened around 1:02 a.m. on I-35.
Initial details about the accident indicate that it took place along southbound lanes of the interstate in the area of Highway 6/Loop 340.

According to officials, a 20-year-old Waco woman was in a Hyundai Elantra which was stopped in the center lane for unclear reasons. While it was there, a Volkswagen Passat reportedly occupied by 37-year-old Ranier Banzuela Jr. and a 30-year-old woman crashed into the Hyundai.
As a result of the collision, the woman in the Volkswagen sustained reportedly incapacitating injuries. Banzuela and the other driver had injuries described as non-incapacitating. Authorities allege that the driver of the Hyundai was under the influence of alcohol, but it's unclear if they believe that was the cause of the accident. Investigations are ongoing.
