Raquel Rodriguez Killed, Kyle Randall, Esperanza Almaguer Rodriguez, Orlando Jaimes Injured in Motorcycle Accident in Van Zandt County, TX
Van Zandt County, TX — April 30, 2023, Raquel Rodriguez was killed and Kyle Randall, Esperanza Almaguer Rodriguez, and Orlando Jaimes were hurt in a motorcycle accident at 12:20 p.m. on Highway 64.
Preliminary details provided by the Texas Department of Public Safety say the crash took place just outside of Canton. Conditions at the time of the crash were not made clear in initial statements.

It appears that 67-year-old Raquel Rodriguez, 44-year-old Esperanza Almaguer Rodriguez, and 70-year-old Orlando Jaimes were in a car traveling westbound along the highway. Police believe that vehicle was making a u-turn when an eastbound motorcycle driven by 32-year-old Kyle Randall crashed into the side of the car.
Due to the collision, it appears that Raquel Rodriguez sustained fatal injuries. Randall, Almaguer Rodriguez, and Jaimes were all taken to area hospitals with unspecified injuries. Right now, authorities have not confirmed specific factors contributing to the crash. No charges or citations have been reported. Officials say that investigations into the accident are ongoing.
