One Injured in Car Accident at I-10 and Freeport in Harris County, TX
Harris County, TX — April 24, 2023, one person sustained reportedly serious injuries after a car accident at around 1:30 a.m. along I-10 West.
Preliminary statements provided by the Harris County Sheriff's Department said the crash occurred in East Houston along the Easy Freeway's main lanes.

Their statements indicate that an SUV broke down in the lanes of travel for unclear reasons. While that SUV was stopped in the lane of travel, a pickup did not avoid the disabled vehicle and crashed into it from behind.
The driver of the SUV was reportedly inside of the vehicle when the collision occurred. They were taken to a hospital with injuries described as serious. The driver of the pickup apparently did not have injuries. Right now, exact factors surrounding the collision are still under investigation. Police say they do not currently suspect alcohol as a factor, but official findings have yet to be confirmed publicly.
