Webb County, TX — October 19, 2024, Ricardo Tovar was injured following a car accident at approximately 11:30 p.m. along Napoleon Street.
According to authorities, 32-year-old Ricardo Tovar was traveling in a westbound Chrysler 200 on Napoleon Street approaching the India Avenue intersection when the accident took place.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, an eastbound Ford F-150 failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It reportedly veered left, resulting in a collision between the front-left of the pickup and the front-left of the oncoming Chrysler. The impact caused the Chrysler to overturn onto one side as it continued westward, coming to a stop after crashing into a vacant Toyota Camry that had been parked on the north side of the road.
Tovar suffered serious injuries resulting from the wreck, according to reports. He was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
