Richard Crosby Killed in Excavator Accident in Winnie, TX
Winnie, TX — June 28, 2022, Richard Crosby was killed as the result of an accident involving an excavator at 12:30 p.m. in Winnie.
Investigators responded to the area of FM 1663 and FM 1406. OSHA reports named Dry Creek Construction as the company associated with the fatal incident.

According to investigations, 63-year-old Richard Crosby was said to be in an excavator which was said to be attempting to pull a skid steer that became stuck in mud. During this, the excavator appeared to be overturning, and it ultimately landed on Crosby.
Richard Crosby sustained fatal injuries as a result. OSHA reports show there were two alleged violations for which they recommended fines of over $4,000. Current details about these allegations are unclear at this time.
