Richard Garcia III Killed in Rollover Accident in Atascosa County, TX
Atascosa County, TX -- October 30, 2022, Richard Garcia III was killed following an accident where his car crashed and overturned.
Investigators reported that the accident happened at around 7:47 p.m. along Highway 97 near mile marker 532.
Officials said that 23-year-old Richard Garcia III was in a Chevy Camaro traveling eastbound along Highway 97. For reasons unconfirmed, the vehicle ran off-road where it hit a tree, then overturned. The vehicle caught fire, and Garcia succumbed to fatal injuries.
At this time, the cause of the crash is still under investigation.

When it comes to a single-vehicle accident like this, my main concern is if it's getting the attention it deserves. Folks are generally too quick to jump to conclusions, and that's how important information slips through the cracks. As common as something like alcohol or distracted driving may be, mechanical issues, road hazards, medical conditions, fatigue, tire blowouts, and other such factors, likely or not, are worth attention. If nothing else, there's a family out there that deserves to know they're getting the full story.
