Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
When it comes to single-vehicle accidents, people generally want to be sure that their side of the story is being told fairly. Sometimes, authorities are careful and thorough enough in their investigations that they do this. Too often, though, investigations begin and end at the crash scene. This is when people will usually seek out independent professionals who can help clear up the facts. At the end of the day, the evidence should have the final say, and that means taking prompt steps to gather and preserve that evidence. Maybe authorities died that here, but it's not the sort of thing I'd ever take for granted.
