Ronald Borders, Perian Cantu, Robert Keegan Injured Car Accident in Port Arthur, TX
Port Arthur, TX — April 19, 2023, Ronald Borders, Perian Cantu, and Robert Keegan were injured after a car accident at around 3:00 p.m. on Twin City Highway.
Initial details about the crash were provided by the Texas Department of Public Safety. According to their statements, the crash happened at the intersection of Twin City Highway and 39th Street. Officials say that 67-year-old Ronald Borders was in a Jeep SUV at the time. 51-year-old Perian Cantu was reportedly in a Honda SUV.

Borders's vehicle was apparently going northbound through the intersection while Cantu's was said to be stopped at a red light on westbound lanes of 39th Street. As Borders was crossing, police believe that a Nissan passenger car may have disregarded the red light and crashed into Borders's Jeep. The Nissan then crashed into Cantu's SUV, which in turn then hit a pickup that was also stopped at the red light.
As a result of the crash, both Borders and Cantu were reportedly injured. A passenger in the Nissan, identified in reports as 35-year-old Robert Keegan, was also injured. Their injuries weren't specified. Right now, authorities have yet to release additional details surrounding the investigations.
