Authorities haven't released much information here, but hopefully they've continued efforts to get some answers. It might surprise some folks to learn they don't always divert their full attention to hit-and-runs like this. That can result in important evidence slipping through the cracks.
For example, did authorities look at nearby businesses or residences for video cameras? I recall one case I had where authorities couldn't make heads or tails of a crash, and they simply moved on. Within a week of us getting the case, though, we found a business across the street with a security camera that caught the whole incident on video. Could there be similar details waiting to be brought to light here?
At the end of the day, one of the best tools following any hit-and-run is the public. The more information there is available to the public, the more likely someone will connect the dots and come forward with new information. I maintain hope that continued efforts will see that happen here.
