Sam Jobe, Four Injured in Truck Accident on I-240 in Memphis, TN
Memphis, TN — March 29, 2023, Sam Jobe and four others were injured in a pile-up involving an armored van around 2:20 p.m. on I-240 in Memphis.
A pile-up crash occurred when an armored van swerved to avoid a stalled vehicle but struck a school bus. A Jeep reportedly following behind the armored truck then hit the stalled vehicle, went airborne, landed on Sam Jobe's vehicle's hood, and then continued forward into another passenger vehicle. Sources suspect the stalled vehicle was stopped in the center lane or in the inner left lane, the armored van swerved to the left, and the jeep fell to the right.
Sam Jobe reportedly has possible injuries, and a passenger in Sam Jobe's vehicle was transported to a hospital. Three others were also transported to a hospital. Authorities report none of the injuries are life-threatening. Other minor injuries are suspected, but unconfirmed.
Officials have not released why the vehicle was stalled on the highway; the accident needs further investigation.
