Man Injured in Scooter, Box Truck Accident on Massachusetts Ave. in Boston, MA
Boston, MA — April 20, 2023, a man sustained injuries as the result of an accident between a scooter and a box truck at 12:20 p.m. on Massachusetts Avenue.
Authorities said they were called to the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Beacon Street.
Their initial statements about the collision indicate that an unidentified man was riding on a scooter along Massachusetts Avenue at the time. At the Beacon Street intersection, a box truck traveling along the southbound lane apparently made a right turn from Mass. Ave. onto Beacon. Somehow, the truck crashed with the scooter while turning.
As a result of the collision, the man on the scooter sustained injuries believed to be non-life-threatening. No one else was said to be have been injured. Police did not say if there were any charges or citations pending as investigations are ongoing. No additional details are currently available.
