Woman Killed in Semi-Tanker Accident on U.S. 41 in Newton County, IN
Newton County, IN — September 28, 2023, a woman sustained fatal injuries as the result of a semi-tanker accident at around 10:55 a.m. on U.S. 41.
Authorities said in their statements that the crash occurred at the intersection of U.S. Highway 41, State Road 14, and County Road 100 N outside of Enos.
According to officials, a 73-year-old Lake Village woman was in a motor home said to be going southbound along U.S. 41. While crossing through the intersection, authorities allege that a westbound semi-tanker truck failed to yield, resulting in a collision between the semi and the motor home.
As a result of the crash, the 73-year-old woman in the motor home sustained fatal injuries. Her 70-year-old husband, said to be the driver of the motor home, reportedly had severe injuries. There were no other confirmed injuries.
