One Injured in Semi-Truck Accident on Highway 29 in Molino, FL
Escambia County, FL — May 4, 2023, at least one person sustained injuries as the result of a semi-truck accident at around 7:30 a.m. along Highway 29.
Authorities with the Florida Highway Patrol were called out to the area at the intersection of Highway 29 and Highway 97 on the northwest side of Molino by the Tom Thumb gas station.

Right now, details are limited. Police investigators have only confirmed at this time that the crash involved a Kia passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer. The two vehicles somehow crossed paths and collided, blocking traffic lanes as a result.
The driver of the Kia was apparently transported from the scene. Their injuries were thought to be non-life-threatening, according to officials. No other injuries were reported. Right now, the cause of the crash is still under investigation. Members of the public speaking on the crash identified the area as one where drivers often speed or try to beat the light. It's unclear at this time if that's what happened here. Investigations are ongoing.
