1 Injured in Semi-truck accident on Broadway and Adams Streets in Lowell, MA
Lowell, MA — October 16, 2023 A bicyclist was in an accident with a semi-truck around 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Broadway and Adams.
According to reports, the incident involving the bicyclist and the semi-truck on Monday afternoon left the cyclist with serious injuries.
This as yet unidentified victim's injuries were extensive enough that, even after being transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital, he had to be airlifted to a different facility for further treatment.
The cause of the accident remains unclear, however, photographs of the scene published in the news shows a bicycle in the area of the intersection with two clearly marked crosswalks. Authorities did no say who had the right-of-way at the time of the accident. The incident is under investigation and further details about the accident itself and the victim's current condition are unavailable at this time.
