I have no doubt the wet roads played some role in this crash. However, I've too often seen authorities get tunnel vision when poor weather contributes to an accident. Regardless of the road conditions, an accident reconstruction needs to consider everything from driver behavior to possible vehicle defects to road design. It's not about what's likely or common; it's about what the evidence says. Did authorities make sure to prioritize gathering clear evidence?
