Two Injured in Single-Vehicle Accident on Highway 198 in Payne Springs, TX
Henderson County, TX — April 23, 2023, two people sustained injuries following a single-vehicle accident just before 6:00 p.m. on Highway 198.
Preliminary information provided by Payne Springs Police and Log Cabin Police says that the collision happened along the side of 8300 Highway 198.

Their statements say that a Dodge Ram pickup truck was going along the highway. Reports claim that vehicle may have "run several vehicles off the road" prior to losing control and crashing in a wooded area off-road. Due to this crash, a driver and one other person in the pickup, neither of which have been identified at this time, had injuries described as minor.
Police mentioned investigating for driving under the influence, but no details have been officially confirmed at this time. Additional details are unavailable pending further investigations from authorities.
