Stacy Dwayne Solomon Injured in car Accident in Houston, TX
Harris County, TX — November 24, 2025, Stacy Solomon was injured in a car accident at approximately 10:15 p.m. along Fairbanks North Houston Road.
According to authorities, 61-year-old Stacy Dwayne Solomon was traveling in a westbound Kia Soul on Little York Road at the Fairbanks North Houston Road intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, a northbound Toyota Tacoma entered the intersection at an apparently unsafe time. A collision consequently occurred between the front-end of the Tacoma and the left side of the Soul.
Solomon reportedly sustained serious injuries over the course of the accident. The 38-year-old woman who had been driving the pickup truck suffered minor injuries, as well, according to reports.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
When two vehicles collide in an intersection and someone is seriously injured, people tend to zero in on who entered the intersection when. But the timing alone doesn’t always tell the full story. To get real answers, it’s important to consider what may have contributed to that critical moment—and whether something preventable was overlooked.
Did the authorities thoroughly investigate the crash?
Intersection collisions require a clear picture of vehicle movements from multiple angles. Did investigators reconstruct each driver’s approach to the intersection? Was there any effort to verify traffic signal patterns, review footage from nearby cameras, or calculate the speed of each vehicle? If scene documentation was limited to the damage and a few statements, it’s possible that deeper factors—like delayed reactions or misjudgments—were missed entirely.
Has anyone looked into the possibility that a vehicle defect caused the crash?
A pickup entering an intersection at the wrong time raises the question: did the driver intend to go, or did something malfunction? A sticky throttle, faulty brakes, or delayed electronic signal from a drive-by-wire system could all cause a vehicle to move when it shouldn’t. On the other side, if the Kia wasn’t able to brake or swerve as expected, that could change how the crash unfolded. These issues aren’t always obvious, but they’re vital to rule out through mechanical inspection.
Has all the electronic data relating to the crash been collected?
Most modern vehicles, including both the Kia Soul and Toyota Tacoma, are equipped with systems that record key data in the seconds leading up to a crash. That includes speed, braking, throttle position, and steering inputs. These records can help show whether either driver reacted or whether a vehicle behaved in a way that didn’t match the driver’s input. Phone usage or GPS logs can also clarify whether distraction was a factor. If no one preserves that data quickly, it may be lost.
Intersection crashes often get reduced to a matter of who had the green light. But a deeper look can reveal whether both vehicles—and their systems—were operating the way they should have. That’s the kind of clarity that only comes from asking the right questions.
Takeaways:
- Serious intersection crashes should be reconstructed with full attention to timing, speed, and driver behavior.
- Mechanical or electronic malfunctions in either vehicle can lead to critical timing errors.
- Vehicle data can confirm how each driver responded in the moments before the crash.
