Tanya Vasquez Martinez, 1 Injured in Car Accident in Robstown, TX
Nueces County, TX — March 13, 2024, Tanya Vasquez Martinez and one other person were injured in a car accident shortly before 6:00 p.m. along D Avenue.
According to authorities, 47-year-old Tanya Vasquez Martinez and a 16-year-old girl were traveling in a northbound Nissan Armada on North 3rd Street at the East Avenue D intersection when the accident occurred.

Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, a westbound Chevy Malibu on Avenue D which had allegedly been stopped at a stop sign entered the intersection at an apparently unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the Malibu and the Armada. The Armada was overturned as a result of the collision, coming to a stop resting on its roof.
Martinez incurred suspected severe injuries due to the wreck; the teenage girl sustained minor injuries, as well. They were both transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
