Teenager Killed in Truck Accident on Highway 327 in Silsbee, TX
Silsbee, TX — May 1, 2023, a teenager was killed as the result of a semi-truck accident at around 7:19 a.m. along Highway 327.
Investigators said that the crash happened at the South 21st Street intersection on the west side of town. Preliminary details surrounding the accident indicate that a 17-year-old Silsbee High School student was in a Mazda car traveling eastbound along Highway 327.

At the South 21st Street intersection, the Mazda was said to be turning onto South 21st when an oncoming semi-truck crashed into the car. As a result of the collision,. the 17-year-old boy driving the Mazda sustained injuries which ultimately proved fatal.
No mention was made about the condition of the truck driver. Details only mention that the truck was hauling a "retracted pole trailer", according to Silsbee Police officials.
