Teenager Killed in Single-Vehicle Accident in Wharton County, TX
Wharton County, TX — September 10, 2023, a teenager was killed as the result of a single-vehicle car accident that happened at 1:32 a.m. on County Road 135.
Investigators said in preliminary statements that the accident occurred in the area of the County Road 135 and E. Brooks Road intersection.

Details at this time show that a 17-year-old Boling High School student was in a Chevy Silverado going along northbound County Road 135. For reasons unclear right now, the vehicle went off the right side of the road before then veering back off the opposite side. At some point during this, the pickup overturned and collided with a guardrail.
Due to the crash, the teen boy succumbed to fatal injuries. While the victim has been publicly named, he won't be named here due to him being a minor. There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the accident. Right now, a cause for the crash cannot be confirmed.
