Tosha McGill, Chad Price Killed in Truck Accident on US-412 in Madison, AR
Madison, AR — November 14, 2022, Tosha McGill and Chad Price died in a collision with a tractor-trailer on U.S. Highway 412 in rural Madison County.
Authorities say the incident happened around 10:00 p.m. on US-412 during snowy and wet conditions. Preliminary investigation suggests Price was driving a Chevy 1500 pickup truck east on the highway when he somehow collided head-on with a westbound big rig for unknown reasons.
Price, 45, and his passenger McGill, 27, were fatally injured in the collision. No other injuries were reported.

Commentary on Tosha McGill, Chad Price Accident in Madison
Investigators didn't provide many clear details about what happened here, but if two vehicles headed opposite directions collided head-on it seems like one or the other may have crossed over the center line. If so then among all the other things to learn about this wreck there are two urgent questions to answer: Who crossed over and why?
To be sure those are answered quickly and properly investigators should look for every fact they can find. What does the electronic data from each vehicle say? Do debris analysis and tire markings help tell the story? Were both drivers in good health, awake, alert, and paying attention ? What condition were both vehicles in, and could a damaged or defective part on either have sent it left of center? How were visibility and sightlines? What about road conditions? Weather? Were there any witnesses? Did the big rig have a dashcam?

Those are just a few of the many details that must be clarified after such a serious accident, but frankly I have my misgivings about whether police will go to such lengths. The victims' loved ones deserve no less than the whole story; do the authorities have the needed time and resources to get it for them?
