Woman, Child Injured in Tow Truck Accident on I-15 in Temecula, CA
Temecula, CA — May 4, 2023, a woman and child were injured due to a tow-truck accident at around 3:30 p.m. along Interstate 15.
Investigators with the California Highway Patrol said that the crash took place in the area of Winchester Road along southbound lanes of the interstate.
It appears from initial reports that the incident began with a tow truck that somehow crashed into the back of another vehicle. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. As a result of that collision, the vehicle hit by the tow truck overturned, and two other vehicles crashed with that vehicle, as well.
Due to the collisions, a woman and a child in the vehicle that overturned were taken from the scene with injuries not described as life-threatening. It appears no one else was injured. Local reports indicate a swarm of bees was at the scene from a nearby hive that was disturbed, but there was no harm done by the swarm, according to reports.
Right now, details regarding the crash are still under investigation. Potential charges or citations are unclear at this time.
