1 Injured in Truck Accident on U.S. 87 in Wilson County, TX
Wilson County, TX — February 16, 2024, one person was injured following a truck accident just after 10:00 a.m. along U.S. Highway 87.
According to authorities, a 37-year-old man was traveling in a westbound Ford Mustang on U.S. Highway 87 in the vicinity west of C.R. 361 when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that the Mustang was traveling in the left lane before briefly making a lane change to the right lane. After moving back into the left lane, however, it reportedly lost control and was involved in a T-bone collision with a westbound 18-wheeler. The front-end of the 18-wheeler struck the left side of the Mustang, according to reports. The collision caused the Mustang to cross over the eastbound lanes of the highway before coming to a stop facing south on the north side of the roadway.
The sole occupant of the Mustang incurred suspected critical injuries as a result of the wreck. He was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive immediate treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
