Two Killed in Single-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 57 in Chicago, IL
Chicago, IL — September 27, 2023, two people were killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 57 near 99th Street in Chicago, IL.
Authorities say that on September 27, a fatal accident occurred when a car crashed in Chicago for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened at approximately 2:30 in the morning. Investigators say the vehicle was traveling on inbound Interstate 57 when it suddenly went out of control and struck a light pole. The cause of the crash has not been released at this time.
Officials confirmed two vehicle occupants, whose names have not been released, suffered fatal injuries. One of the victims was pronounced dead at the hospital. A third person in the car was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
