Two Officers, One Other Injured in Two-Vehicle Accident in Huntsville, AL
Huntsville, AL — October 3, 2023, two police officers and one other were injured in a car collision on Memorial Parkway in Huntsville, AL.
Authorities indicate that on October 3, an accident occurred when two vehicles collided in Huntsville for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened shortly before 11:30 at night.
Investigators say a vehicle was traveling in the wrong direction along Memorial Parkway when it collided with a patrol vehicle. Sources say the car was heading north in the southbound lanes. The cause of the crash has not been released at this time.
Officials confirmed that the two police officers in the patrol vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to an area hospital. The vehicle driver also sustained minor injuries in the crash.
Police stated that the vehicle driver faces charges, including driving under the influence of alcohol. This has not been confirmed, as police are still investigating the events that led to the crash.
No other injuries were reported.
