Zane Isaac Schaeffer Killed in Motorcycle Car Accident in Round Rock, TX
Williamson County, TX — March 6, 2024, Zane Isaac Schaeffer was killed following a motorcycle versus car accident at approximately 5:30 a.m. along Palm Valley Blvd.
According to authorities, 31-year-old Zane Schaeffer was traveling on a westbound Kawasaki motorcycle in the vicinity of the North AW Grimes Boulevard intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, an eastbound Kia Forte that had been in the center lane of Palm Valley Boulevard attempted a left turn across the westbound lanes of the road and into a private road at an apparently unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the front-left of the Kia and the front-end of the motorcycle.
Schaeffer incurred reportedly critical injuries as a result of the wreck. He was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive immediate treatment. However, he was ultimately unable to overcome the severity of his injuries, having been declared deceased approximately three weeks after the accident.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
