17-year-old Killed in Pedestrian Accident on I-35E in DeSoto, TX
Dallas County, TX — June 20, 2023, a 17-year-old boy was killed as the result of a pedestrian accident early Tuesday at around 2:00 a.m. along I-35E.
In initial statements, officials said that the incident happened along southbound lanes of the interstate in the area of Pleasant Run between DeSoto and Lancaster.
Right now, exact details are still unclear. Authorities say only that a 17-year-old boy was crossing the highway at the time when at least two vehicles reportedly struck him. It's unclear at this time if those vehicles remained at the scene to speak with police.
The victim, whose name will be withheld due to them being a minor, died as a result of the collision. No injuries were reported. At this time, additional details about the accident are unavailable.
