Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Based on the images og the crash scene I saw in the news, it's incredibly relieving to see reports of only minor injuries. Still, it's important to take those injuries seriously, as sometimes things aren't as "minor" as they may seem initially.
I've had cases where someone seemed more or less fine immediately after a crash. After days or weeks though, the true nature of their injuries would develop, and they ended up needing more serious treatment than the initial reports suggested.
That's why commercial vehicle accidents always warrant immediate attention from accident reconstructionists. By ensuring a crash gets thorough investigations, victims and families can handle those outcomes. As they say: hope for the best, prepare for the worst. A serious 18-wheeler accident certainly isn't the exception to that.
