Single-vehicle accidents can present enough challenges on their own when there's a car involved. When that vehicle is a commercial truck, though, it raises all kinds of other questions.
Did cargo shift? Did the truck experience a mechanical failure? Was there a defect, or were the truck's owners not maintaining it properly? Was the driver forced to work long hours or rush to meet an unreasonable deadline?
Too often, folks, just look at a crash like this, assume the driver did something wrong, and move on. The reality can be far more complex, and it's important to withhold judgment until all the facts are clear. Either authorities can show they've been digging into the details beyond the surface, or there may need to be more thorough independent investigations to get all the facts here.
