UPDATE (January 10, 2024): The identity of the victim in this accident has been confirmed to be 43-year-old Rafael Gallardo.
Lewisville, TX — December 3, 2023, one person was injured in a motorcycle accident shortly before 11:30 p.m. along Interstate Highway 35E.
According to reports, a 43-year-old man was traveling on a northbound Harley-Davidson on the S I.H. 35E frontage road in the vicinity south of Roberts Drive when the accident took place.

For reasons yet to be confirmed, the motorcycle was unable to safely maintain its lane of travel. It veered to the left of the roadway and collided with the end of a concrete barrier. The collision allegedly caused the motorcycle to veer left into a ditch where it traveled approximately 15 feet before traveling up the other side. When it came up the other side, the motorcycle reportedly struck the end of a second cement barrier, which sent the vehicle back into the ditch where the man was ultimately ejected. He incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the incident; emergency medical services transported him to a local medical facility in order for him to receive necessary treatment.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by local authorities. Charges are reportedly pending against the driver of the motorcycle. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time are reported to have been clear and dry. Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identity of the victim—are not available at this point in time.
