Abel Chavez Jr. Killed in Car Accident in Dallas, TX
Dallas, TX — January 1, 2024, Abel Chavez Jr. was killed as the result of a car accident at around 1:41 a.m. along South Belt Line Road.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the crash happened in the area of Belt Line Road and Biggs Street, just off U.S. 175.

According to officials, 29-year-old Abel Chavez Jr. was in a Dodge Caliber traveling on Biggs Street approaching the Belt Line Road intersection. At the crossing, the Dodge was apparently making a left turn, but it went off the side of the road and crashed into a tree.
Due to the collision, Chavez sustained fatal injuries. It doesn't appear that anyone else was in the vehicle with Chavez. Reports also do not mention any other vehicles being involved. Right now, additional details about the crash are unavailable pending further investigations.
