Woman Injured in Alleged Drunk Driving Accident on Bulverde Road in San Antonio, TX
San Antonio, TX — March 15, 2024, a woman was injured following an alleged drunk driver accident at 10:30 p.m. along Bulverde Road.
In initial statements, San Antonio Police say that the crash occurred in the area of Bulverde Road and Butterleigh Drive, north of Thousand Oaks.

According to officials, a 33-year-old woman was in a Chevy Cruze said to be going southbound along Bulverde. From the northbound lane, it appears a Nissan Rogue went left of center and crashed with the southbound Cruze.
As a result of the collision, the woman in the Chevy had reportedly serious injuries. The driver of the Nissan was allegedly under the influence of alcohol at the time and reportedly faces charges for DWI with a BAC over .15. No further information can be confirmed right now.
One thing I have yet to see authorities mention is if they know where the driver got their alcohol. Let me given an example as to why that matters.
A while back, a couple came to me after a drunk driver went into oncoming traffic and hit them head-on, seriously injuring their young son. We retraced the man's steps and found where he'd been drinking. Investigations revealed the bar served the man well past the point of reason, and he could barely walk to and from the bathroom, let alone drive a vehicle. But the servers ignored the clear danger and continued selling him alcohol, breaking the law and therefore opening themselves up to liability as well as potential criminal charges and administrative penalties.
The fact authorities hadn't bothered looking into that bar was something the family just couldn't understand. The bar broke the law and got people hurt, so why wouldn't they also be held accountable? Well, it's unfortunately a matter of priority. Authorities can see those alcohol providers held accountable, but they'll often only do so if they feel it's in their interest to do so.
As such, simply demanding answers from authorities can be vital after accidents like this. That way, victims and families can help to ensure they and their situation are getting the attention they deserve. On top of that, it can help see a wrongdoer who might otherwise dodge a bullet actually held accountable for their actions.
