Bicyclist Injured in Car Accident on Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy. in Beaumont, TX
Jefferson County, TX — March 2, 2024, one person was killed in a bicycle versus car accident that occurred along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
According to authorities, a bicyclist was crossing Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard from east to west along Crockett Street when the accident took place.
The causal factors that led to the wreck are still unclear. Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the bicycle was struck by a GMC that had been traveling southbound on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The bicyclist incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the accident and was declared deceased at the scene.
