Bicyclist Killed in Truck Accident on John J. Williams Hwy. in Sussex County, DE
Sussex County, DE — March 5, 2024, a woman was killed in a bicycle versus box truck accident at approximately 2:00 a.m. along John J. Williams Highway.
According to authorities, a 58-year-old woman was traveling on a bicycle on John J. Williams Highway, Rte. 24, in the vicinity of the Mulberry Knoll Road intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the bicycle allegedly entered the lane of travel and was struck by a box truck. The victim suffered reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the collision. She was declared deceased at the scene. No other injuries have been reported.
