3 Injured in Car Accident on U.S. 59 in Houston, TX
Houston, TX — July 31, 2024, three people were injured following a car accident at approximately 2:30 a.m. along U.S. Highway 59.
According to authorities, the accident took place on U.S. 59 in the vicinity of Newcastle.
The cause of the accident and number of vehicles involved is still unclear. Preliminary reports state that, for as yet unknown reasons, at least one vehicle was involved in a collision. Three people were reportedly entrapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated with the help of emergency personnel. They were each transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment once they were freed from the aftermath. No additional details are available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
