Humberto Aladro-Valdes Killed in Multi-truck Accident in Storm Lake, IA
Storm Lake, IA — January 23, 2024, Humberto Aladro-Valdes was killed in a multi-truck accident at approximately 7:40 p.m. along S.H. 7.
According to authorities, Humberto Aladro-Valdes—age 63—was traveling in a westbound 18-wheeler at the U.S. Highway 71 intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the 18-wheeler did not stop for the stop sign at the intersection. This resulted in a collision with a second 18-wheeler that had been traveling on U.S. 71. The crash caused the second 18-wheeler allegedly sideswiped a third 18-wheeler which had been traveling in the opposite direction.
Aladro-Valdes was reportedly ejected from his vehicle during the crash; he incurred fatal injuries due to the accident and was declared deceased at the scene. There were no other injuries reported.
