Jarrell Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident on C.R. 110 in Williamson County, TX
Williamson County, TX — December 27, 2023, a Jarrell woman was killed following a vehicle versus pedestrian accident at around 9:00 p.m. along County Road 110.
Initial details about the crash say that it happened along County Road 110 south of University Boulevard.

According to officials, a 64-year-old Jarrell woman was on foot at the time and apparently along the northbound travel lane of C.R. 110. An approaching driver reportedly could not avoid the woman, hitting her in the roadway. As a result, the woman sustained fatal injuries. The driver had no reported injuries. Additional details are unavailable.
I find people assume pedestrian accidents are as simple as things get, but that's just not true. There can always be unique circumstances to consider. For example, our firm handled a pedestrian accident not long ago where someone was hit by a car on a freeway exit ramp. Investigations ultimately showed he'd been illegally over-served while out drinking with friends. The establishment served him to the point he got lost while trying to walk home, and it led to his death.
Of course, I have no way of knowing right now what led to this specific accident. But it's an example of why it's best to let the evidence speak for itself.
