Jorge Aguilar, Cloe Wig Injured in Car Accident in Texas City, TX
UPDATE (January 16, 2024): The identities of victims of this accident have been confirmed as 23-year-old Jorge Aguilar and 23-year-old Cloe Wig.
Texas City, TX — December 25, 2023, two people were injured in a car accident shortly after 1:45 in the morning along 19th Avenue.
According to reports, two 23-year-olds—a man and a woman—were traveling in an eastbound Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck on 19th Avenue in the vicinity east of 10th Street when the accident took place.

The breaks of the pickup truck purportedly went out before the vehicle veered left across the opposite lane of traffic and collided with the rear end of a car that had been parked on the the shoulder on the north side of 19th. The woman incurred reportedly moderate injuries but refused medical transport. The man sustained suspected severe injuries due to the incident; he was transported to a local medical facility in order to receive treatment.
Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identities of the victims—are not available at this point in time. The investigation is ongoing.
