Jose Luis Lopez Injured in Pedestrian Car Accident on Emma Lane in Laredo, TX
Laredo, TX — March 5, 2024, Jose Luis Lopez was injured in a pedestrian versus car accident at approximately 6:00 p.m. along Emma Lane.
According to authorities, the accident took place on Emma Lane between Vientos Road and Exodus Drive.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the 25-year-old driver of a Chevy Camaro mistook the gas pedal for the break pedal and accidentally accelerated through a backyard fence of a private residence. Jose Luis Lopez—age 51—was reportedly in the back yard of his residence at the time. The vehicle reportedly struck him and drug him along as the vehicle drove into his neighbors back yard, as well.
Lopez incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident and was transported to an area hospital by emergency medical services in order to receive immediate treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
