Juan Granados Injured in Truck Accident in Lee County, TX
Lee County, TX — December 14, 2023, Juan Granados was injured in a truck accident just after 5:30 in the morning along S.H. 21.
According to reports, 21-year-old Juan Granados was traveling in a northeast bound Ram 3500 with a trailer in tow in the vicinity just northwest of the County Road 401 intersection when the accident took place.

Authorities indicate that, for unknown reasons, the pickup truck failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It allegedly crossed over the center turn lane and entered the southwest bound lane of traffic. This resulted in a collision with an oncoming 18-wheeler. The collision caused the 18-wheeler to jackknife, coming to rest with the trailer in the facing southwest in the northeast bound lane and the cab facing north, partially in the northeast bound lane and partially in the center turn lane. The pickup truck and its trailer became detached during the accident. The truck overturned to its right and came to rest on its top in the northwest should of the highway, while the trailer came to a stop upright. Granados—the sole occupant of the pickup—reportedly incurred severe injuries as a result of the accident; he was taken to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
