Mariana Romero Garcia Killed, Adan Sanchez, 4 Injured in Car Accident in Denton, TX
Denton, TX — March 14, 2024, Marian Romero was killed while Adan Sanchez and four others were injured in a car accident just after 6:30 p.m. along Sherman Drive.
According to reports, a 46-year-old man was traveling in a southbound Chevy Silverado pickup truck on Sherman Drive in the vicinity south of the Elm Bottom Circle intersection when the accident occurred.

The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reported to have been rainy and wet. The Silverado reportedly hydroplaned, causing the vehicle to lose control and veer left, crossing over the center line. There, it crashed into a northbound Chrysler occupied by 46-year-old Mariana Romero Garcia, 40-year-old Adan Sanchez, an 18-year-old boy, and an 18-year-old girl. The Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck which had been northbound following behind the Chrysler allegedly didn't have time to avoid the wreck; it reportedly crashed into the Chrysler, as well.
Garcia incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the wreck. Sanchez and the two 18-year-olds sustained suspected severe injuries, and the men from the Silverado and the Dodge suffered minor injuries. All injured victims were transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
