Missouri Teen Injured in Car Accident on Rosewood Drive in Killeen, TX
Killeen, TX — January 26, 2024, a Missouri teenager was injured following a single-vehicle car accident at around 10:30 p.m. on Rosewood Drive.
Preliminary information about an accident indicates that it happened at the intersection of Rosewood Drive and Parkwood Drive.

According to officials, a 19-year-old man reportedly from Barnard, Missouri, was in a Ford F-150 going southbound on Rosewood. At Parkwood, the vehicle somehow went off the roadway to the right, and it crashed into a tree.
Due to the collision, the Missouri teen sustained serious injuries. There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the crash. Right now, the cause of the crash can't be confirmed.
My hope is that authorities are being thorough here rather than letting any sort of bias color their investigations. The reason I say this is because there are two kinds of accidents I get calls about which are far too often mishandled due to unfair preconceptions: single vehicle wrecks and wrecks involving young drivers.
In both situations, there are countless possible factors that could cause the vehicle to crash, including many which a driver has no control over. However, the fact both kinds of wrecks more commonly involve things like distracted driving or speeding, for example, sometimes leads authorities to just blame the driver and move on without considering other possibilities. It can leave families in the unfortunate position of wanting to trust authorities while also feeling that investigators aren't gathering the evidence necessary to tell the whole story of what caused the crash.
